Air Canada Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner arriving at Toronto Lester B. Pearson International Airport (YYZ) from Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP) overhead en route to runway 23. Air Canada received this aircraft in May 2017, and C-FRTG is currently serviced as one of 38 Dreamliners in their fleet, 29 of which are 787-9s. To complement the novel aircraft, Air Canada's new livery is on full display, now composed of retro black and a prominent red Canadian flag (Air Canada's Rondelle). The engines on this Dreamliner, also exceedingly cutting-edge, are General Electric's GEnx-1B, offering quieter and more efficient fan blades. This hardware is also implemented on the Boeing 747-800 and recently surpassed one million flight hours on a Cargolux 747-8 freighter (20170. Truly, a different view of this aircraft's belly yields a new appreciation for these modern thristers (they're loud — but nowhere near as loud as they used to be). Enjoy!
